Chester County
West Chester is two different jobs depending on which side of town. In the borough, it's narrow row homes built when "Old West Chester" was the only West Chester. Outside the borough, it's larger suburban homes with the floor plans of 1990s and 2000s construction. We do both.
In the borough, we work on Federal and Victorian row homes near High Street and Gay Street — narrow lots, twin staircases, often only one full bathroom on the second floor. Outside the borough, in Westtown, East Goshen, and Thornbury, we work on 1990s-and-newer subdivision homes that usually have a first-floor primary suite already roughed in for accessibility.
A first-floor primary-suite conversion typically runs $18,000–$38,000 depending on plumbing and finishes. Borough bathroom updates run $9,000–$17,000. Stair lifts start around $3,800. Whole-house lever-handle conversions usually run $1,800–$3,400 depending on the door count. We don't quote until we've walked the house.
We've taken referrals from discharge planners at Chester County Hospital, from physical therapists at Bryn Mawr Rehab's Malvern campus, and from a few care managers based out of Kendal-Crosslands. PA-licensed (PA090916), family-owned, same crew start to finish.
No quote until we've seen the house. We come to you, walk every room, and write up what we'd recommend.
